What Are CDW Tubes?
Per the IS 3074 and DIN 2393, Cold Drawn Welded (CDW) tubes start as ERW tubes, then are cold drawn through a die and mandrel for tight dimensional tolerances (±0.1 mm OD), smooth finish, and enhanced mechanical properties. Cold drawing work-hardens the steel, raising yield strength above the base ERW tube per EN 10305-2. CDW tubes bridge the gap between standard ERW (loose tolerances) and seamless (high cost) - precision at an economical price point.
