What is the difference between IS 4923 and EN 10219?
IS 4923 is the Indian standard for cold-formed steel hollow sections with grades YSt 240 and YSt 310. EN 10219 is the European standard for cold-formed welded sections with grades S235JRH to S460J2H. For domestic construction projects, IS 4923 is typically specified. For projects with international specifications or higher-strength requirements, EN 10219 is specified.
Are hollow sections available in galvanized finish?
Yes, we supply hot-dip galvanized hollow sections for outdoor and corrosion-prone applications. The galvanizing adds approximately 20-30% to the base price depending on section size and zinc thickness.
What lengths are structural hollow sections available in?
Standard lengths are 6m, 9m, and 12m. Custom cut lengths can be arranged for project requirements with a minimum order quantity of 5 MT.
